Channel 4 has commissioned a six-part
television drama to be scheduled at the same time as Doctor Who on the BBC. This new drama series will compete for a
similar target audience as the BBC’s flagship programme.
The series finale will
conclude with a Christmas Eve special.
It will be a conspiracy thriller set
at a sixth form college in Cambridge. Four students individually get tipped off
by email / social media messages that students of the college are to receive a
government agency experimental treatment originally trialled in 2009 (“Mutation Treatment IX”) which
eradicates any sense of protest or activist behaviour in the upcoming
generation of the electorate towards the government aim of absolute control.
The treatment is received/ingested through the eye, without students’ knowledge
or consent.
The four student protagonists are:
1. An activist (hacker, studying
political sciences)
2. A non-activist (interests
in sport, fashion, a consumer, alpha college social character etc.)
3. A computer expert (designer,
programmer, gamer etc.)
4. A budding bio scientist (with
interests in human biology)
